Howdy! I'm Victoria.

Marigold and Daisy was born out of my ever present love for photography and connecting with people. I am a self diagnosed extrovert. I love meeting new people, making new friends, and learning about people's life stories.

I have always loved taking pictures and I have had a camera in my hand since kindergarten. When I got to high school my grandfather gave me my first DSLR camera and I loved taking pictures of students at various sports events and activities. My senior year of high school is when my portrait photography journey began. I took many of my friends' senior photos that year and continued on taking portraits of their siblings and then even some of their college senior portraits later on! 

I attended Texas A&M University in college station, my dream school as a third generation aggie! I was a History and Anthropology major while at A&M but I still found time for photography. I began taking photos for events on campus, more senior portraits, couples, and proposals. After graduating from A&M I attended Texas Tech University for a masters degree in museum science. I have always loved museums and wanted a career as a museum curator. While attending Tech I continued my photography as a side business, continuing to shoot senior portraits, couples, and events. 

After working in museums for a few years I finally made the decision to jump into turning my passion of photography into a formal business.

-I am a HUGE Swiftie. Speak Now, Fearless, and Reputation are my favorite albums. I was able to go to the Eras tour twice. You can find me listing to Taylor while editing photos.

-I am a cat mom. I have an angsty grey kitty named Sushi. She is the best little cuddle bug and is often the first to see your photos on my screen.

-My Husband is, in part, the inspiration for the name of this business as Marigolds are my birth flower and Daisies are his. We met at Texas A&M as tour guides and have been married since 2022.

- I love to bake. My favorite baked goods are cookies, pies, and ciabatta bread.

-Books and reading are my hobby. I love love love to read. I read mostly Fantasy, Romance, and YA books. My favorite authors include Ali Hazelwood, Rick Riordan, and Sarah J Maas.
